Person Centered Therapy

Client centered therapy, or person centered therapy, is a non-directive approach to talk therapy. It requires the client to actively take the reins during each therapy session, while the therapist acts mainly as a guide or a source of support for the client.

Mindfulness Training

A mental training practice that teaches you to slow down racing thoughts, let go of negativity, and calm both your mind and body. It combines meditation with the practice of mindfulness, which can be defined as a mental state that involves being fully focused on the here and now so you can acknowledge and accept your thoughts, feelings, and sensations without judgment.Techniques can vary, but in general, mindfulness meditation involves deep breathing and awareness of body and mind. Practicing mindfulness meditation doesn't require props or preparation (no need for candles, essential oils, or mantras, unless you enjoy them). To get started, all you need is a comfortable place to sit, three to five minutes of free time, and a judgment-free mindset.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

CBT treatment usually involves efforts to change thinking patterns. These strategies might include: Learning to recognize one’s distortions in thinking that are creating problems, and then to reevaluate them in light of reality, gaining a better understanding of the behavior and motivation of others, using problem-solving skills to cope with difficult situations, and /or learning to develop a greater sense of confidence in one’s own abilities.CBT treatment also usually involves efforts to change behavioral patterns. These strategies might include facing one’s fears instead of avoiding them, using role playing to prepare for potentially problematic interactions with others or learning to calm one’s mind and relax one’s body.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy

 ART works directly to reprogram the way in which distressing memories and images are stored in the brain so that they no longer trigger strong physical and emotional reactions. ART accomplishes this through the use of rapid eye movements similar to eye movements that occur during dreaming. Although techniques similar to these are used in other types of therapies, ART’s very specific and directive approach can achieve rapid recovery from symptoms and reactions that may have been present for many years. ART combines long respected, sound treatment practices with safe and effective methods validated by current scientific research studies conducted by the University of South Florida.
